this may be a dumb question, but i just wanted to ask, is there an alpha 8? i read that the latest one being worked on is 9...the last update i received by email was 7. i looked on utg.com and it says the latest build is 7.04? i admit it has been a good while since i last played, but looking forward to the update. if anyone can answer it would be appreciated.

completely changing the game is NOT a good idea. you've told everyone who bought the game because they thought it had potential that they were wrong. this and the lack of updates scares people away.
also, just posting updates on a subforum on steam is NOT normal practice. get your own site up to date first.

Actually the reason we are migrating to the steam forums is proboards has been repeatedly failing to let Mike and I log in over the last few months, we will be moving the forums over to the steam forums comes alpha 9. If you are not happy with the game come alpha 9 weredano we are happy to refund you, but as this is a alpha product, things are expected to change before it is finished, it is the nature of game development. As for your question redmurcury, alpha 8 was the update with the music overhaul.

I don't understand why you can't keep us informed on your site. I thought the game was abandoned, you would have a way more successful game and less upset customers if you would just updated your site.
I get its in dev.
I get your changing things around.
The majority of us understand that creating a game is not easy; however the ones who bought the game already and have supported you want to hear that our money wasn't wasted. So you post on the steam thread? Most of us do not check that. We go to the webpage.

Most of us don't know about a Steam thread. Also, making massive changes to the game at this point is not smart, as weredano pointed out. It seems like the game is dead, except the devs dont know about it.

Well for reference, the steam thread is here: steamcommunity.com/app/227720/discussions/0/846963710989952580/ We will be migrating the forums there after alpha 9, and yes, we are working on this daily to get the update out. We will however still will be posting updates to the main page, just discussions will be over at the steam forums as that's where the bulk of the users are, and proboards as I mentioned earlier has been repeatedly dodgy.

We will however still will be posting updates to the main page Your use of the word 'still' is wrong. Update your own site first, then the Steam forums will follow.
