the lag on this game is so bad, that i can barely play! I'm not sure if its because its my first time starting the game, and its generation lag like minecraft has when you make a new world, but my computer can handle pretty much any game perfectly fine, but this one, it dies on... i really hope theres a fix so i didn't waste my money on it...

Hey, you have to understand this is still in Alpha, and most of the games are not even available to people in this stage.
Have you tried running the game with a lower graphic setting?
For example, Crippled shouldn't give you any lags, at least for me, and I'm playing on my laptop!
Cheers, Sidetik

My observation has been that the game is running on five layers, two background, two foreground, and a middle layer. So, it's the equivalent of running 5 games at once. Right now, the programmers are focused on defining game mechanics, and much later on like closer to BETA they will come back and streamline the thing, so maybe the layers collapse somehow during gameplay and reopen when in craft mode. (Feel free to drop in, O developer powers that be, and tell me if I'm right on this? :-)
Anyway, there was this old catch phrase in Friends when Aniston's character accuses whoever the heck it was of cheating on her when they had agreed to take a break. And at least once an episode you would hear him defending himself saying that "we were on a break!"
So, I can just hear the developers saying: we're still in early Alpha!
Steam has given us the opportunity to support startup developers in bringing us awesome games that the more established companies wouldn't risk trying to make. If we understand our role as patrons then, I think it helps to be more gracious, while at the same time asking for what we want... nicely :-) (native headdress ;-)
In the same vein, I'm still waiting for Kenshi to turn into something playable, and I paid like twice as much for it, but I can't complain: I knew it was still in development when I bought it!
Best,
TSM

Hi there,
We're going to be putting an even lower graphical option in the next Alpha - hopefully that should make things better!
